About

Hello, my name is Michelle.
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. This is my little cyber place where I like to share snippets from my journey, and inspirations I discover along the way.
Currently, I live in New Zealand, with my husband and son, in a little straw bale house which we built with our own hands. We try our best to live simply in order to live more freely, with the idea that the less you own the more time you have for what matters.
Originally I was born in England, but grew up in Scotland, which basically means I have my very own made up, mixed up accent, and as the number one question I am always asked is, "Where are you from?" I thought I would just get that one out of the way. But, ultimately, I consider myself a World Citizen. I believe I am a culmination of the places I have been to, the places I have dreamed of, people I have met from all over the world, and even those I have not but been influenced by. I have been lucky enough to have embarked on some pretty amazing sailing voyages: sailing twice from Europe to New Zealand, around the many Pacific Islands as well as the coast of South Africa from Durban to Namibia. This nomadic lifestyle has changed my life in countless ways, and I owe a lot to these experiences and the people I have connected with along the way.

I have always had a love of photography and exploring, and being a visual person I tend to use my camera to document my experiences as I travel through this beautiful world of ours.
I hope you enjoyed your time here.
